Andy Freeland is the President of Beds & Borders Landscape Design. He plays an active role in personally meeting with all new clients, creating the landscape design in concert with the customer, and coordinating each project until it meets or exceeds expectations. Graduating from the University of Minnesota in Natural Resources laid the foundation for further target area certification in the Landscape Design at Dakota County Technical College. Andy constantly keeps up on the latest information in horticulture research, landscape design, and “green” or environmentally friendly construction. He and his staff are active members in the Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association (MNLA), award winning Home & Garden Show participants, and recipients of the Angie’s Super Service Award. Landscape design may be his passion, but Andy also enjoys seeing God’s handiwork in Landscape Design in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area on family trips, research trips to Northern California, as well as playing racquetball and spending quality time with his three boys (Jake, Gus, and Kermit) as well as his lovely wife Sara that always gives him a true passion to live life to its fullest in his career and in his personal life.

Mike Hart heads up the landscape installation department. He has extensive knowledge of all the technical and engineering elements of each project. It’s Mike’s job to organize the installation and decide on the best equipment to use to complete the project safely and efficiently. He knows that careful planning and choosing the right tools for the job will make the process run smoothly and produce a beautiful result. Mike Hart’s day never stops. If he can find the time to hunt with his dog Dora, go out to eat with his Wife Sara, fish, or just tinker in his tool shop he will. In the winter he takes care of all of the machinery and gets it ready for another busy year. This includes the snowmobile!!

Sara Freeland, a graduate of St. Thomas and California State Lutheran, is very active in the day-to-day activities at Beds & Borders. From bookkeeping to estimating, she makes sure that the company is running smoothly from an administrative standpoint. Her dedication and time management ultimately allows her to free up time to get out into her personal landscape passion that is caring for her prized Dahlias and herb/vegetable gardens. Both of the aforementioned activities enhance her passion for cooking as well as keeping the kitchen table looking beautiful. Sara also loves to spend time with her boys, go to the park, beach and sneak into the mall on a rainy day.

Chris Blomberg has been lead foreman of Beds & Borders from the beginning. His incredible work ethic and attention to detail contribute to an impeccable product. Chris Blomberg loves to spend his free time with his wife Liz. They are passionate about riding bikes, taking trips up North and to Wisconsin and producing amazing veggies in their garden at home.

Tim Freeland is the website designer and technology manager.  He directs the company in social media applications and maintains the online identity including  Facebook, Youtube and WordPress.  Tim lives in Northfield with his wife Lori, daughters Rylie and Kayla.  Learn more about Tim’s services here.
