I am very impressed with your follow-up on the items we had discussed last Fall after you did our landscaping project, primarily the adding of additional soil and reseeding in the front. I was pleasantly surprised to come home and find that Chris was already busy at putting soil down and seeding. It looks much, much better now and is the way that I had originally visualized it being done. Plus he also re-did the area all along the new edging and added a little dirt to the hydrangea on the corner, plus “touched-up” the sedum down by the mailbox. He did an outstanding job!

I can’t say how pleased my wife and I are with your work and great customer service. Thanks again, we really appreciate it and will definitely give you a call if we decide to do any additional landscaping. BTW, the magnolia is in full bloom and is really looking good. I think that was a great choice for that area. All the other plants also seem to have survived the challenging winter and we’re anxious to have them start blooming as well. Apparently, my warm water watering late last Fall (per your advice) did some good. ?

Andy and the team have done a number of projects for us…. including stone patios, gas grill install, gas fire pit, and plants, trees, and flowers. Quality product all around. Works well with other subs on bigger projects. Stands by the product – if the plant dies he will change it. But it starts with the selection. They pick beautiful trees…. and they check in on them. They know design, but do design/build as well. They have ideas… the candleberry that they planted 7 years ago might be my favorite tree from that project. Decorative rocks, borders (duh, read the name), flowers. Moved some trees… and get this: they did not destroy the lawn, putting plywood under their equipment. A bit pricey for basic work (like just mulch), but a great investment if you want a quality job on anything else of any size done. Call them!

We made several adjustments to the project along the way and they were happy to help us redesign and adapt all through the process. They were great to work with and I felt we could really trust them with our back yard space and budget. I honestly couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process.

We started with an idea of transforming our back yard space into a more usable area with a patio, hot tub, fire pit and gardens. Andy and Jessie listened to our vision and transformed it into a better reality than we could have imagined. Andy took our project that had many moving parts; electric, lighting, gas lines custom stairs and provided advice and coordinated with all the other vendors. They made the project seem simple and it was completed in a week, slightly under budget which was very nice surprise at the end. I would highly recommend them and would hire Andy and his crew again.

I have worked multiple times with Beds and Borders and continue to be impressed with them. They have great design ideas, and they listen to your needs. Their estimates are very clear and there is good value for your dollar. They get the work done in a timely matter, and the workers are awesome. They are friendly, hard working, and they clean up the site really well upon completion. I have been super pleased with the final look every time.

Can’t say enough positive things about how great Andy and his crew have been to work with. He is proactive, prompt, easy to work with, and has great ideas. Andy is very accessible before, during and after any work he does and his projects start and end on time. During the course of a project he checks in frequently to make sure everything is going as planned and will be out at the site at least once each day. He listens to the home owners requirements and builds his plans accordingly, but can be flexible, if necessary. For example, when I said I would like to figure out a way to re-use the bricks from the patio being replaced, he modified his plan and used most of them as edging to the newly landscaped areas, thereby both enhancing the areas and also keeping the old bricks from probably ending up in a landfill. Andy’s crew is well organized, efficient and polite. When they leave at the end of the day, everything is nice and tidy. I am very, very happy with my new yard thanks to Andy and will continue to use his company when I need any updating to my yard in the future. Highly recommend Beds & Borders!

We LOVE our new Beds and Borders landscaping! We just had our work done last week and could not be happier with the whole process – and most importantly – the final product! We found Beds and Borders on Houzz and so happy we did.

We got 3 quotes for the job. One was very high and Beds and Borders was very close to the other one. We really liked the design that Beds and Borders gave us, so we worked together to figure out how to keep the design, but inch it down into our budget. We signed our contract in early May, the height of landscaping season and were able to get on the calendar for the end of June. The crew showed up on the predicted date and they were done in just 2 days!

Everyone we dealt with at Beds and Borders was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They checked in at every step to make sure we were happy with the progress.

Beds and Borders did a large landscaping project in my backyard. It consisted of designing and constructing a new patio space with the addition of large raised garden beds, new steps going up to the patio in two different areas, The other area that was designed was a fire pit area. The landscape team came up with a clever design using existing large boulders as seating surrounding a sunken fire pit encircled by small river stones and pea gravel. Before the project, I was stumped as to what to do with my existing space that needed a makeover. Andy Freeland, President of Beds and Borders came up with a very creative and cost effective renovation. The project went smoothly. The crew are courteous and professional. After three summers, we could not be happier with our backyard and receive many compliments from visitors. Andy and Mike are fantastic to work with and were attentive to my concerns and questions. I have done several remodeling projects at my home and working with Beds and Borders was by far the smoothest and pleasant experience I have encountered.

Beds & Borders is a supremely professional, creative and absolutely AMAZING landscape designer, maintenance company with an extremely conscientious crew. Andy Freeland’s crew redesigned our 1950’s landscape and brought it fully into the new millennium. We worked out a program for local ecology foliage, water-conserving inclines and placements, naturally-beautifying and highly-functional evergreen shrubbery fencing, and attractive plants to compliment our accessibility-designed walkways. The wonderful firm worked diligently and tirelessly to expand our driveway and to embellish our all-seasons flowers, grasses and fruit trees with local limestone blocks precisely chosen to compliment a bouquet of rich floral colors and the house itself. The kaleidoscope of eye-catching delight emanates from both natural foliage and lawn carpet segments as well as colors meticulously selected for our home’s cedar shingles, painted siding and finishes from top to bottom.

Andy & Mike did a fantastic job. From helping with the drawings to the execution. Two winters later we still see no issues in the work… we use the grill, firepit, and hot tub all the time. The site was clean at the end of every day, the workers were friendly, and they finished on time. We did go a bit above budget, but that is because we added more (stone stairs up the side of the house). I would highly recommend them.

Very satisfied with Andy and the landscape project they completed, which involved replacing a concrete patio with natural stone and landscaping the front of our house. Andy met with us and corresponded with us during the planning and implementation of the project. We found him to be very easy to work with, very knowledgeable about plants/shrubs/trees, and able to produce a beautiful improvement to our home.

The spring after the project was done, Andy contacted us to see if any of the plantings had not made it through their first winter. A couple of them had not, and he replaced them. This was an unexpected bonus that we really appreciated.

I have had an occasional question about care for some of the plantings, and e-mailed Andy. He always responded to my e-mails, and gave helpful information.

Andy came to us as a recommendation from a friend he had done work with recently. Andy & his team at Beds & Borders transformed our outdoor space surrounding our swimming pool into an oasis! He had great ideas, was very honest and responsive. We have continued to use him for each “phase” of our projects and have been pleased with every step!

I recently downsized to a smaller house and an even smaller yard that had previously been used as a dog run. Beds and borders transformed the small space into a beautiful and tranquil urban courtyard. They installed a stone patio and a small green space that gives me year round color and texture. Andy has a broadly talented and beautiful design sensibility which is very hard to find. He’s familiar with a huge range of styles and can work with anything from a traditional aesthetic to an experimental approach. As a designer myself, I appreciated his ability to vacillate between style and function, weighing pros and cons with me.
